KILLING MIRANDA Set Release Date For New Album

September 14, 2004

Britain's KILLING MIRANDA have set an October 25 release date through Cadiz Music for their new album, "Consummate". Distribution is being handled by Pinnacle (U.K.) and Soulfood/Sony (Europe). U.K. dates in support of the album will be confirmed shortly.

Commented singer Richard Pyne (a.k.a. Filthy Rikky): "[The new CD] is way beyond anything we've done to date. One thousand per cent more ambitious. We're throwing down the gauntlet for the whole underground. We can compete in production terms with the big major label bands and the European scene and also keep our identity. This is arguably the best and undeniably the most professional sounding album to come from the U.K. goth / industrial underground to date as far as I'm concerned."

In other news, the short horror film "Enter the Dagon", which features the KILLING MIRANDA song of the same name, has just won an award at a U.S. horror film convention.

Commented the film's director, Tom Gleeson:"'Enter the Dagon' took first place in the short film contest at HorrorFind Weekend. We even beat out a high-budget short sponsored by the Sci-Fi Channel that starred Doug Bradley of 'Hellraiser' fame."
